TERMS AND CONDITIONS: SHETLAND INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY:

1. Promoter:

• This competition is organized by Seabirds-and-Seals (herein referred to as “the Promoter”).

2. Eligibility:

• The competition is open to anyone worldwide, aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this competition.
• By entering this competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

3. Competition Period:

• The competition will run until the Promoter’s Instagram account @seabirdsandseals reaches 4000 followers.

4. How To Enter:

• To enter the competition, participants must:
  • Follow the Promoter’s Instagram account @seabirdsandseals
  • Like the competition post
  • Tag two friends in the comments of the competition post that you think would like this competition. Each tag counts as one entry.
  • Share the competition post to their Instagram Story and give us a mention.
  • Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be disqualified.

5. Prize:

• There is one prize available:
  Either a Noss Boat Tour for Two (valued at £130) and subject to availability, along with copy of Seabirds-and-Seals Book written by business founder, Dr Jonathan Wills – Total Prize Value of £150OR
• £50 Gift Bag from Island Larder & £50 Gift Bag from Peerie Shop PLUS copy of Seabirds-and-Seals Book written by business founder, Dr Jonathan Wills – Total Prize Value of £120.

• The prize is dependent on the winner’s location and/or travel plans:
  • If the winner is based in Shetland or planning a visit, they will receive the Noss Boat Tour for Two, subject to availability PLUS a copy of the book. If we need to reschedule due to weather/operational reasons, we will endeavour to book you onto another date.
  • If the winner is not based in Shetland or planning a visit, they will receive £50 Gift Bag from Island Larger & £50 Gift Bag from Peerie Shop PLUS a copy of the book.
• Important Note Regarding Gift Bags: If the £50 Gift Bag for Island Larger & £50 Gift Bag for Peerie Shop is the chosen prize, these will be purchased directly by the Promoter (Seabirds-and-Seals) for the winner. Therefore, Island Larder & Peerie Shop have no further association or involvement with this competition beyond the provision of the gift bags.
• The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is offered.
• The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond their control require it.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

• The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries once the Promoter’s Instagram account reaches 4000 Followers.
• The winner will be notified via direct message from our own Instagram business account within 7 days of reaching 4000 Followers.
• If the winner does not respond within 7 days of being notified, the Promoter (Seabirds-and-Seals) reserves the right to select another winner at random.

7. Prize Delivery

• For the Noss Boat Tour, the winner will be provided with booking availability and the winner will be responsible for arranging their own travel to the tour departure point.  The book will be posted to your home address.
• For the 2 different gift bags and book, these will all be posted to the winner’s home address.

8. Publicity:

• The winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity as required by the Promoter.
• The Promoter reserves the right to use the name and social media handle of the winner for publicity purposes.

9. Data Protection:

• The Promoter will only use the personal information supplied for the purposes of administering this competition, unless you agree otherwise.
• By entering this competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage, and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your competition entry.

10. Limitation of Liability:

• The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury of disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize.
• The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues, system errors, or failures that may affect the competition.

11. Instagram Disclaimer:

• This competition is no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.
• By entering this competition, you release Instagram and Meta from any liability related to this promotion.
