Every child who joins our Noss Boat Tours, receive a FREE eco-friendly activity pack, as part of their adventure. In 2024 we introduced our Original wooden puffin windmill kits, we were delighted to announced early March 2025, that we have a new addition with our Original wooden bird house kits – allowing young sailors to choose between two exciting options.
The Classic Puffin Windmill Kit
A favourite with our young guests, this colourful windmill kit sparks curiosity about puffin life—teaching children how these charismatic seabirds build their burrows, raise their chicks, and return year after year to Shetland’s iconic cliffs.
The New Birdhouse Kit
Designed to inspire creativity while supporting local wildlife at home, this wooden birdhouse encourages young explorers to think about how they can make a difference for garden birds and nature in their own communities.
Each kit offers a fun, hands-on way to learn about wildlife, conservation, and creativity.
Last season, one of our young sailors, Polly, proudly shared her beautifully decorated puffin windmill, inspired by the puffins she had seen nesting on the clifftops and bobbing along the waves. Her excitement and creativity captured everything we hope to encourage—helping children build a real connection to the natural world through exploration and imagination.
Along with their chosen craft kit, every young sailor will also receive a gift bag filled with original sealife activity packs and other fun surprises to keep the adventure going even after the tour ends.
