We were delighted at the beginning of March, to launch our brand-new Young Sailors Photography Competition for the 2025 season—an exciting and creative opportunity for children under 16 who join us onboard The Noss Boat.
Whether your young adventurer is a budding wildlife photographer or just loves snapping fun memories, this competition is designed to inspire creativity while exploring Shetland’s spectacular marine environment.
The competition is open to all children under the age of 16 who sail with us during the 2025 season.
Young sailors are invited to enter a photo in one (or all) of the following three categories:
Wildlife – Capture seabirds, seals, or any other marine life spotted on your tour.
Scenery – Showcase the dramatic beauty of Noss, Bressay, and Shetland’s stunning coastline.
Fun Selfie with the Crew – Strike a pose and share the fun side of your boat adventure!
We accept one entry per category per participant. Photos must be taken during your tour and can be captured using any device.
Each month we operate tours, one winner per category will be selected from entries submitted that month. Winners will receive a prize and recognition on our social media and website.
Entries must be submitted by the 20th of the month following your tour. Winners will be announced at the end of that month.
With the entrant’s permission, we’ll showcase monthly entries on our social media platforms, with the three winners highlighted shortly after the deadline.
